A couple of weekends ago, when the sunshine came out for longer than an hour and the sky was bright blue with not a cloud in sight, I panicked. Little Mr’s wardrobe was full of long sleeve t-shirts, jumpers, jeans and fleeces. Nothing suitable to wear on a warm Spring day so once we’d enjoyed a day in the sunshine and Little Mr went to bed, I hit the internet and did a spot of shopping.
The trouble with working four days per week and having plans on a weekend is that I rarely get time to go shopping and have a browse at the range of new clothes coming in for the next season. Luckily, there’s a great range of clothes on the internet from various brands and I can get quite a number of essentials; t-shirts and shorts for a very good price.
Little Mr is now in size 12-18 month old clothes and I find that the trousers are usually quite long on him and the waist is too big. However, go any smaller and the clothes are too small. I guess he’s just in that in-between stage.
I may have added a selection of clothes to the basket with the intention that I would send some back, who am I kidding? I’m rubbish at taking stuff back to the shop! The Spring Summer haul got delivered and I couldn’t wait to see how it all looked.
I ordered several t-shirts, a couple of pairs of shorts and t-shirt combos, some more shorts including some very cute denim ones, some Mickey Mouse t-shirts as Little Mr just loves Mickey and a little hat for when the sun is shining.
I also ordered an outfit for Little Mr’s Grandads birthday party that we’re going to this weekend. He’ll be wearing the denim roll-up sleeve shirt with the maroon trousers with some blue leather boots I managed to find in the Next sale for just £12. Very pleased with that little win. I can’t believe how expensive toddler shoes are!
I managed to grab a few bargains at Boots on my lunchbreak earlier in the week. They have a couple of offers on at the moment including buy 2 for £8 and Buy one get one half price, so I took advantage and snapped up the blue jacket, the cropped onesie and the stars sleepsuit plus a long sleeved denim look t-shirt.
I think Little Mr is all set for Spring Summer, I just hope we now get the weather and he doesn’t grow out of them before he can wear them! Fingers crossed…
