Review: The Body Shop Buriti Baby Mini Essential Gift Set

I was recently sent The Body Shop Buriti Baby Mini Essential Gift Set to try out with Little Mr and this is how we got on.

The Body Shop Buriti Baby Mini Essential Gift Set comes in a lemon gift bag with a see through panel so you can see the mini products inside. The products included in the gift set were the Buriti Baby Body Butter, Massage Gel, Shampoo and Body Wash. The mini bottles held 60ml (2 US fl.oz) which is the perfect size for travelling or sampling the product before buying the larger size. The Body Butter comes in a small tub which holds 50ml.

Little Mr has really sensitive skin which he unfortunately inherited from me so we have to be very careful with the products that we use in his bath or on his skin. The Buriti Baby range is designed for babies with sensitive skin and is enriched with the oil from the Amazonian buriti tree. For people in the Amazonian, the buriti fruit is one of the most precious as it has many properties said to enhance their health by being an antioxidant, an anti-inflammatory and helps skin to better withstand the powerful UVA and UVB rays of the sun.

The Body Shop Buriti Baby Mini Essential Gift Set is a complete bathtime regime for babies. Starting with the body wash in their usual bath, babies will be enjoy ‘splashy tear free cleansing’ ‘tear free suds’ as the shampoo washes their hair followed by the ‘buttery moisturisation’ as they get dry.

We have used all the products over the last couple of weeks and have found it to be really nice on Little Mr’s skin. His skin hasn’t flared up and it is unbelievably soft. He’s always had beautifully soft skin but the Buriti Baby products help keep his skin hydrated and smells amazing.

I’m also a big fan of their Coconut Body Butter which I was sent to try out and after using it for a few weeks after a bath, my skin is really soft and smells amazing, I just love the tropical coconut fragrance. The body butter contains ‘Community Fair Trade virgin organic coconut oil’ which helps to provide 24 hour hydration for my skin. You don’t need a lot of body butter to moisturise your skin as I found out by using too much one evening but when applied sparingly doesn’t leave a greasy residue and feels wonderful on my skin. The tub I have been using is a large tub holding 200ml of body butter and retails at £13 which I believe is good value for money for The Body Shop body moisturisers and I would probably buy it again in the future.

I’m a huge fan of Body Shop’s coconut body butter. We get through quite a bit here as Hubs loves it too.
