Happy New Year! It’s the start of a brand new year, new adventures to have and new challenges to tackle.
I’ve had a lovely break away from blogging and haven’t been on social media as much recently which has been a great opportunity for me to spend time with my loved ones and take stock on what the year ahead holds for me and my family.
This year there is so much I’m looking forward to; my Little Mr turns one in less than 6 weeks, we’ve got several BIG family birthdays coming up, one or two blog conferences, a family holiday abroad and lots of exciting (boring and necessary too!) DIY projects to tackle around the home. There’s the prospect of a new car for me, less debt with the bank and I’m back on the diet (more to come on that). It’s going to be a good year ahead.
I’ve also been thinking about the blog and I’m planning on taking it back to it’s roots. If truth be told, I found the run up to Christmas quite stressful with everything that I had committed myself to and although the Baby’s First Christmas series was a huge success (in my eyes) I can’t do something like that again so I’m committing myself to less this year and blogging about me and my gorgeous family instead of attempting to run something I cannot keep up with.
I’m a bit rubbish with new years resolutions but I’m definitely going to make the most of this year, be honest and true to myself, live my life the way I want too (within reason) and be happy. We only have one life so we need to live it.
What are you planning for 2014? Are you going to make it count?
