A new Christmas tradition that we are starting this year for our Baby’s First Christmas is Elf on the Shelf. It’s not something that we’ve ever done before or had as children so this is new to all of us and it’s something I hope we can continue to do for many years as Little Mr is growing up.
The idea of the Elf is to live with the children for the run up to Christmas. The elf will keep watch over the children and each night he disappears back to the North Pole to report back to Santa to see if the children are still behaving and on the ‘nice’ list. The hope is that the children will remain on their best behaviour whilst the excitement of Christmas builds and they’ll get a visit from Santa on Christmas Eve.
We had a special delivery yesterday when the Elf popped in to say Hello and to check that it was okay for him to visit us throughout December. We were more than happy to welcome him into our home and over the next 3 weeks we’ll be showing you what he gets up to.
Don’t forget to follow me over on Instagram for pics of his daily visits but to start our Elf Christmas Tradition off, here’s how Little Mr met Elf this morning (1st December)
Have you had an elf to stay this December? I’d love you to link up your posts if you’re having an Elf on the Shelf too. Keep an eye for more posts this week to see what he gets up to.
