We were recently seleted as Babyologists for Babies R Us and as part of the scheme we were asked to review the Fisher Price Rainforest Peek-a-Boo Leaves Musical Mobile. Little Mr was more than happy to oblige.
The mobile was easy to assemble, it feels sturdy and solid. As soon as we put the mobile on Little Mr’s cot he happily lay underneath the mobile watching the rainforest leaves go up and down revealing a cute rainforest creature as it rotates.
The mobile has 4 different musical sounds; 3 classical songs and sounds of the rainforest. All are very relaxing and Little Mr to relax.
The sound unit has 2 volume settings and a function control so you can change between the functions of the mobile. The remote control is also very handy which allows you to control the mobile from a distance. I’ve used the remote to change the song without disturbing sleeping beauty. It’s a brilliant added extra. The sound unit doubles up as a handy nightlight and provides a relaxing glow. As you can see Little Mr loves touching the sound unit and he has worked out how to change the music by a touch of a button. He thinks it’s great fun.
The mobile is recommended for babies from birth up to 5 months old when the mobile should be removed and the soundbox should be used on its own. I disagree with this recommendation as responsible parents, we have lowered Little Mr’s cot and he is unable to reach the mobile so it is perfectly safe for use. He pays a lot of attention to the mobile as it rotates and he loves it when the monkey comes into view, which is his all time favourite character. Of course, once he is able to reach up we will remove the mobile and leave the soundbox in his cot for him to enjoy the relaxing melodies and the nightlight.
The Fisher Price Rainforest Peek-a-Boo Leaves Musical Mobile retails at £39.99 which I believe is worth every penny. The music plays lovely lullabies and the rainforest animals are very cute. Little Mr thoroughly recommends it.
