Last week, Little Mr and I went over to my Parents house for the day to spend some time with my Mom and Dad. Since Little Mr has been born, we’ve tried to see each other as much as possible despite the 15 mile difference between our homes. I believe it’s really important for him to spend as much time as possible with his Grandparents, not only because they’re family but because Little Mr is changing every day and growing up so quick, I don’t want them to miss it.
I had a bit of a wobble last week when I was asked what was going to happen to Little Mr as I return to work. He’s going to be spending time with both sets of Grandparents throughout the week as we’re lucky that they are able to help with childcare.
As I was preparing Little Mr’s lunch in the kitchen, I could hear lots of giggles from another room. Little Mr and my Mom were having cuddles and Mom was telling him silly stories and making him laugh.
This photo reassures me that he’s going to be okay with his Grandparents. They love him to bits and will give him all the attention he needs. It doesn’t make it any easier about returning to work but I can be rest assured that he is going to be just fine and will probably have the time of his life. These are the ordinary moments that make me smile and mean the world to me.
