My gorgeous Little Mr is now 6 calendar months old. Wow! Where have those weeks gone? I’ll be now referring to him in months as it’s a right faff counting back to see how many weeks are in a month!
It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was panicking that BabyShilts wasn’t moving very much and I needed to go check out what was happening with him inside me. Only for a few days later he would be delivered by my consultant in the operating theatre! Nor that we went to Cardiff when Little Mr was just 8 weeks old or visited London (for the second time) when he was 16 weeks old. He’s been camping, had a day trip to the beach and dipped his toes into the sea. We have certainly crammed a lot in to Little Mr’s life so far and we don’t intend on stopping there.
He’s gone from waking only once during the night to sleeping straight through from an early age and I’m hoping that’s testament to the fact that we followed his cues and put a routine in place that allowed him to sleep when he was tired and fed when he was hungry.
He’s had all his jabs, regular baby clinic visits to check his weight and only one bout of illness (touch wood) when he got his cold. He’s a very handsome little fella always wearing a smile that can turn around and make anybody’s day. He’s learnt how to roll over although he’s still pretty lazy and he’s well and truly teething now with one little tooth popping up above the gum line. He’s already completed one course of swimming lessons and we’ve booked up for next term. We’ve also started weaning him and he’s enjoying spinach, sweet potato and apple puree for lunch followed by petit filou at dinner time alongside his bottles.
I am completely in awe of him everyday as he does something new and discovers a bit more about himself. He really is a joy to be around and I count my blessings each and every day that we are so incredibly lucky to have him in our lives.
Little Mr I love you to the moon and back…x
