A look back on The Week That Was via my Instagram feed (and a few extras!) and joining in with Make, Do and Push, The Week That Was Instagrammed #3 linky.

Blog Post: The Week That Was Instagrammed #2

We took Little Mr swimming to a new local pool. It was a lovely morning, the water was warm and the pool had great changing facilities. Little Mr also started teething again so we got out the teething rings and popped them in the fridge. We’re using a Munchkin fun ice ring teether at the moment and so far so good! We’re also putting some dribble bibs from Funky Giraffe through their paces. It is incredible how much dribble one small baby can produce. Gross actually! We also tried Little Mr on a spoonful of puree to see how he got on and he quite liked the Plum Baby Broccoli and Apple puree (a decisions of weaning post to follow)

Blog Post: Bit late to the party but I’m going to Blog On 2013

Little Mr and I joined our friends on a quick look at an adventure play centre we are going to in August. I’ve spoken before about being members of a birth group on Facebook and in a couple of weeks time, we’re having a big meet up and actually going to meet each other in person. There’s hopefully going to be quite a few of us (about 45 adults plus our February babies and older children) all coming from different parts of the country so wanted to check it was decent enough for our big meet up. Luckily we think it will be absolutely fine and I can’t wait to meet the girls!

We then went to a new supermarket open in the next town for a nosey and it was quite a stressful experience. Why don’t they leave baby friendly trollies near the Parent and Child parking space? I had to push Little Mr in a trolley suitable for a toddler and he wasn’t happy! He didn’t feel comfortable as he can’t sit up straight yet unaided so kept slipping and drooping to the side. We picked up this little dinosaur outfit to add to Little Mr’s collection of short sleeved rompers. The weather was beautiful again so we bathed Little Mr to cool off with the help of his little yellow friend.

I also found out that I had managed to secure a last minute ticket to a bloggers conference called Blog On 2013. Very excited to attend and meet lots of lovely bloggers and brands!

Blog Post: This time last year – I was pregnant and at the end of the first trimester

We had a lazy Tuesday around the house, getting some jobs done and having cuddles. I took Little Mr on a stroll up the town to fetch a few things that I had forgotten from our trip to the supermarket yesterday and enjoyed the sunshine.

What a busy day! After Little Mr enjoyed a mini lie in we popped into my workplace to say hello before some of my colleagues broke up for their Summer holidays. It was lovely to see everyone but I’ve got to be honest it felt a bit weird going back knowing that I’ve only got roughly 10 weeks left of my Maternity leave.

I then drove over to my Parents as I had a Dentist appointment which was subsequently cancelled. I didn’t mind too much so went back to my Parents house for cuddles and silliness with my nephew and to have a catch up with my Mom.

Little Mr had his swimming lesson today and he was awarded his first ever certificate and badge. I am so proud. He’s not really done anything to achieve the certificate except spend time in the water and be dunked every week. It’s definitely building his water confidence though.

In the afternoon, our friend came round with her little girl. M was born just 6 weeks before Little Mr so it was lovely to see them interact and smile with each other.

To my delight, Little Mr rolled over today. He was playing on his play mat reaching out for his toys and he rolled. He did it three times in the space of half an hour so now the fun begins.. Woop!

After another lazy start, Little Mr and I got up and I baked some croissants. They were quite tasty but I didn’t turn the oven down low enough so they burnt a little. Serves me right really, should of left them for hubby to do (and eat!)

The heatwave in the UK continued so we took advantage and set up camp in the back garden with the paddling pool and blankets. It was absolutely beautiful out there but quite hot and sunny without a cloud in the sky so Little Mr enjoyed the shade and a splash in his new paddling pool.

Today Little Mr and I joined my Mom, Sister and Nephew at our friends baby shower. It was a lovely afternoon, my Mom had made a nappy cake and our friend really liked it. It was so nice to visit our friends, we’ve grown up together and known each other for a long time. Even though we don’t see each other for months, every time we all get together it is really nice and we just pick up from where we left off. Thanks Sue for your hospitality.

As you can see we had another action packed week, it was quite momentous for Little Mr. What did you get up to?
