The Week That Was: Instagrammed #2

make do and push

I’m joining in with a brilliant linky tonight from the lovely Hannah at Make, Do and Push. I met Hannah at BritmumsLive and she is so lovely and friendly. Her daughter is a couple of months older than Little Mr so it’s nice to lovely to read what they get up to.

I love taking photographs and sharing them on Instagram. Just click the Instagram link at the top of my blog if you’d like to follow me and see my photos. As soon as I saw this linky I knew I wanted to take part and what better way than to show off my snaps and fill you in with what we’ve been up to.

We woke up under canvas on our second morning in Lincolnshire. It was a very warm day with temperatures reaching a sweltering 30 degrees. We dropped the tent and packed up our stuff and enjoyed half an hour in the sunshine before heading off home.

We got locked in as I forgot to take my house keys out of hubby’s car…Ooops! Luckily we didn’t need to go out so spent the day pottering round the house, catching up on the washing and tidying up. No photos were taken. Far too boring!

Blog post: Our first family camping trip and How to start each day feeling fresh

After a wobble about the lack of Summer clothes in my wardrobe I found some yoga crop pants in a drawer. Definitely going to have to get some Summer clothes. I took Little Mr to Baby Clinic to get weighed and at 21 weeks old he’s a fabulous 16lb 1oz. I was quite concerned about his weight as he’s not been drinking all his milk so I was worried but seems to be putting on weight perfectly and the lady at clinic was happy with him. I then met the development officer at the clinic to talk about weaning which we’ll be starting in a couple of weeks.

We then went round to our friends house for a cuppa and a catch up which was lovely then I went to Sainsburys (other supermarkets are available!) for a gander and to browse the 6-9 month clothing for Little Mr.

Blog Post: Little Mr’s first barbeque

Little Mr was 5 months old today! How did that happen?

I had a Dentist appointment for an overdue routine check up at 9:30am so had to get up early to drive 15 miles on the M6 to my Dentists. Unfortunately I had to have an x-ray and will be needing a couple of fillings. My teeth have suffered during pregnancy, they’ve become very sensitive and apparently I don’t floss enough.

I then took Little Mr round to his Nanny and Grandad’s house for the afternoon. He fell asleep in Nanny’s quilt and I managed to get ahead on some work I was doing for my Mom. We then went round to our family friends house to drop off some birthday cards and Little Mr met their dog, Alfie. When we got home we had our Joy and Joe baby carrier delivered which we’ll be reviewing shortly.

Blog Post: Momymoo Mono Changing Bag Review and 5 creative ways to use lighting at home

I had to say goodbye to a good friend today. It was a beautiful funeral service and her two little boys were incredibly brave. It was so sad and such a tough day. A lot of tears were shed today so I didn’t take any photos but I will show you this one of my beautiful friend Tanya holding Little Mr just a few short weeks before her death. She was the most courageous lady always looking to have fun and making the most of every situation. She will be sorely missed by all her friends and family.

Blog Post: Choosing our son’s name

I took Little Mr to his swimming lesson today. The changing rooms at the hotel were awful (they didn’t work!) so I wasn’t able to shower until I got home. Typically it was another boiling hot day and I couldn’t go out into my back yard as our neighbour was fixing our fence. The dog would have gone mad so had to sit in the cool and wait for some deliveries.

We had two items delivered for review; a selection of Funky Giraffe Bibs and the Dear Zoo book. Can’t wait to start using the bibs with Little Mr teething, they’re going to come in very useful.

Little Mr was invited to his friends second birthday party at a Wacky Warehouse. He’s still too young to play so enjoyed a sit in the ball pool with his Daddy and toddler watching from the slides. We then went over to my Sisters house for an impromptu barbeque and dip in the paddling pool. We had a fab day and really enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

It looks as though you had a wonderful week, despite the sadness of saying goodbye, Little Mr is scrummy! He looks so comfy in Nannys quilt.
