Last year I wrote in my pregnancy diary about driving up to Manchester to attend The Baby Show and what goodies I’d bought ahead of BabyShilts arrival. I remember walking round the hall with my Mom looking at products wondering what they were and what they were used for having no idea if in a few months time I’d be saying ‘I wish I bought….’ Well this year The Baby Show, the UK’s biggest and best pregnancy and parenting event, is coming to the NEC in Birmingham on 17-19th May. Now Little Mr is here, I’m really looking forward to going.
I’ve already planned my day out having looked at the website. I’m hoping to sit in one or two of the workshops (the BabyNatal sleep workshop sounds very informative), listen to the experts (Professor Robert Winston and Annabel Karmel to name just a couple) talking about baby development and also snap up a couple of baby bargains from the many exhibitors that will be selling their baby products at the show.
The show is set to be a fantastic event with lots to do. There’s a Fisher Price Pampering Area for mums-to-be and new mums to enjoy, free professional baby photograph sessions and various fashion shows throughout each day highlighting maternity fashion and the latest baby wear collections. There’s even something for the Dads with the Fisher Price Apptivity range on hand for grown up, serious testing.
One of the best features of The Baby Show is that they have family friendly facilities meaning you don’t have to worry about the essentials. There’s a baby changing area with free nappies and wipes and a Tommee Tippee feeding area with a private breastfeeding space available for breastfeeding mums.
I’ll be attending the show with my Mom and Little Mr, so watch this space to hear all about how we found this years event and what we spent our money on. In the meantime, you can thank me later as The Baby Show are offering a fantastic 40% off adult entry tickets (door price £20.00, discounted ticket offer £11.50). To take advantage of this offer, visit www.thebabyshow.co.uk and enter promo code LH001. If you get your tickets early, it just means you have a little bit more money to spend on clothes, baby toys or that pram you’ve been eyeing up for months! See, totally justified.
Disclaimer: I have been given tickets to attend the show but all words, enthusiasm and excitement about the show are my own. Images are from The Baby Show.
