Review: Cussons Mum and Me range

Back in August (you know when it was quite summery and we all had Olympic fever, seems so long ago now!) I entered a Twitter competition with Cussons Mum and Me to win a set of their new range of products. Cussons have developed a range called Mum and Me which is tailored to suit Bump, New Mums and Baby. I was lucky enough to win a full set of their new products and wow, I wasn’t disappointed.

I was sent this huge box of goodies

Obviously being pregnant I immediately started using their Bump range of products. I was sent their Relax and Unwind Bath Soak, Relax and Unwind Sleep Mist, Smooth and Glow Pregnancy Shampoo, Smooth and Glow Pregnancy Conditioner, Soothe and Nourish Body Lotion, Stretch Mark Cream and Cool and Relieve Soothing Spray. The other products I was sent (in their New Mum and Baby range) will be used in the New Year once BabyShilts makes an appearance.

I wasn’t too sure how my sensitive skin would cope with a new product so I began with using the Soothe and Nourish Body Lotion after my daily shower to see how my skin would react. Luckily, my skin took its nourishment on board and I’ve been using it ever since. The Soothe and Nourish Body Lotion smells amazing and has left my skin feeling supple and soft. Similarly, the Stretch Mark Cream smells amazing and I’ve been using this frequently to ward off any (new) stretch marks. The Smooth and Glow Pregnancy Shampoo and Conditioner isn’t really suited to my hair. The shampoo leaves my hair feeling too dry and the conditioner makes my hair a bit flyaway. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my hair during my pregnancy; it’s growing incredibly quickly and it seems a bit limp. I will preserve with the shampoo and conditioner for a while longer to see if it makes a difference to my hair.

I’m also really impressed with the Cool and Relieve Soothing Spray. After a long day at work and completing chores round the house it’s nice to unwind listening to BabyShilts on the doppler (I love to hear his heart beating away with the random kick and movement thrown in) with a spritz of the spray on my legs. It smells lovely of peppermint oil and the Calendula helps sooth swollen limbs. I’ve yet to use the Relax and Unwind Bath Soak as I’m still loving the fact we’ve had our shower fixed but with the cold, autumnal nights drawing in I know it won’t be long until I climb into a warm soapy bath.

This isn’t a sponsored post as I won the products through the Twitter competition however the lovelies at Cussons Mum and Me have sent me a bottle of their Cool and Relieve Soothing Spray to give away to one of my lucky readers.

All you need to do is leave a comment on my blog as to why you think you should win and a winner will be chosen at random on Tuesday 9th October 2012 at 6pm. Good Luck!

Competition has now ended: Thanks to all who entered – the lucky winner is Lizz. Congratulations Lizz, I’ll be in touch shortly

I’d love to win this to soothe our aching knees! I have a beautiful seven month old girly called Rosie who is my whole life and more, she has just learnt to crawl so I spend a lot of time crawling around having fun with her, hence the sore knees! Kellye x
