Can’t wait to meet you, Son…

Meet BabyShilts – due in 17 weeks and 6 days time and I can’t wait to meet him. After a lengthy battle to conceive, we were delighted to find out at our 20 week scan that BabyShilts is in fact on Team Blue, a beautiful little boy, my very own Son. This is the most precious photograph I own and it’s going to be with me for life.

This is my first letter to my unborn Son.

Dear Son,

I’ve been lucky enough to see you on the telly twice now and each time, I fall a little bit more in love with you. You have a beautiful little profile. You’re already starting to look like your Daddy, it looks as though you’ve inherited his lips and chin, and you have a very cute  button nose which I cannot wait to kiss. I have started to feel you move around more now (which Mommy absolutely loves!) and I’m counting down the days until I get to see you again.

I can’t wait to touch your soft newborn skin, look into your beautiful eyes and listen to you sleeping soundly. You are loved so much already and I can’t wait to meet you.

I’ve got so many hopes and dreams for you. We hope you’re born healthy and will grow into a handsome little man. You will be spoiled with love and will always have our arms to run into for a big squishy hug. We promise to have lots of adventures to create happy memories of family fun and our home will always be full of laughter. I promise you’ll always be listened to and we’ll teach you to learn the difference from right and wrong to be an honest reliable little man we will be so very proud of.

I promise to protect you as best as I can so until we meet Son, get lots of rest, keep wriggling of an evening and get ready for an enormous welcome hug that you’ll get in February when you’re ready to meet your Mommy xxx
