Where are the Summer holidays going? I can’t quite believe that hubby has been off work a week already! 1 down, 5 to go! I’m counting down the days until I get a week off work (only 4 more get ups then 10 days off – wooo!!) and I’m so looking forward to it!, so many plans!

We all know what I’m like if I don’t keep my routine so we’ve continued with our meal planning and hubby has been shopping today so there’s no excuses that we don’t eat properly. 

I’m eating better now, have a real fondness (is it too early for a craving?) for meat (burgers, mince, steak, sausages!) so have been working them into our meal plans and we’ll be eating the following:

  • Chilli Meatballs
  • Sausage and Mash
  • Oven bake fish and chips with mushy peas
  • Hawaiian Pizza with salad
I’m trying to eat more cereal with fortified iron in and trying to cut back on the amount of sweet stuff I’ve been consuming, I’ve gone off yoghurts and my usual fruits (bananas, oranges and apples) but still love strawberries and grapes so I’ll be topping myself up with those.

This week’s other plans include meeting a friend for dinner on Wednesday to have a massive catch up and a chin wag, it’s our 5th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday so we’re treating ourselves to a Italian meal out in Birmingham and on Sunday, we’re driving up to Manchester to see my uni girlfriends (and their fellas) who I’ve not seen, in like forever! I’m so excited. It’s going to be an ace weekend! {sig}
