Disappearing mojo…

I appear to have misplaced my mojo for blogging recently. I’m getting a bit bored of reporting the boring rituals of my dieting and exercise and think I need a bit of time out to re-assess it all.

It doesn’t help that me and hubby have picked up some sort of sickness bug with us both suffering from it in the last 48 hours. We only have one bathroom in our house and times like this we really could do with ‘his’ and ‘hers’. I’m glad to say we think the worst is nearly over and we’re trying to drink plenty of fluids. On the bright side, we’ve both probably lost a bit of weight due to only eating two pieces of plain toast in the last 2 days.

I really don’t deal with being sick very well, I feel very sorry for myself especially when it’s not self-inflicted so have spent the past two days being a right grumpy mare. As you can guess, I decided to keep my germs to myself and call in poorly for WW. It’s the first time in 18 months I’ve not been to class due to sickness so it was lovely that a couple of friends sent me get well messages and wished me a speedy recovery.

Hopefully we’ll both be better for Friday as it’s our annual weekend trip to Lincolnshire to meet up with my family who are already sunning themselves on the East Coast. Fingers crossed the sun will continue to shine as camping in the rain isn’t always fun (but does sound very relaxing on the canvas!). Luckily, for the past 4 years it has been lovely for us so we might just get lucky again.

I love spending time with the family on this weekend. We all have a good chin wag, play silly games, eat my Dad’s barbecue food on arrival (seriously this is probably the best meal of the year after a 4 hour car journey) and toast marshmallows over the fire pit with my nephew. We also get to meet up with a couple of friends and spend the Saturday on the beach with them at Chapel St.Leonards playing in the sand and having a paddle in the sea. It’s life’s simple pleasures really and I love it. {sig}
