Move more Monday

Yesterday seemed to be over in a flash! I had my usual morning in the office and spent the afternoon at one of my schools. After work, I knew I wanted to get my third session of C25k in the bag before weigh in so donned my trainers and gym gear and headed off out. It’s hard work running when you’ve had a full day at work. I felt like I didn’t have enough energy to put 100% in and as daft as it sounds I didn’t feel like I could bounce my way through it. Saturday morning at the gym (on the treadmill) seemed much easier. I seemed to have a lot more energy to put into the session. I’m wondering whether I can squeeze in morning workouts but the prospect of getting up extra early, eating breakfast for energy, running for 30 minutes then showering (or bathing in our case as our shower is still leaking) in time to leave my house at 7:30am. I’d have to be up at 5am or so! Does anyone else get up at silly o’clock to exercise?

I completed my session and walked home, had half an hour in the house before I had to leave for Zumba and then somehow powered my way through an hours energetic Zumba class which left me pretty much ready for bed. Not really noticed this much before but in the past few weeks at Zumba and at the end of my runs, I’ve been sweating like Miss Piggy in a sauna. That can only be a good thing, right? I’m drinking lots of water to replenish my fluids and so I don’t get dehydrated.

Hubby had cooked my favourite ever dinner, chilli meatballs and rice, so I devoured that and then jumped into the bath as I had less than an hour to get washed and ready to be down the pub to watch my hubby play in his darts team. Turns out he couldn’t play due to a registration issue but I enjoyed a couple of glasses of Diet Coke watching the footy and keeping an eye on the darts.

All in all I totalled up a respectable 12 activity points by the time I fell into bed. I had a handful of pretzels whilst I was preparing todays lunches so probably had about 10 activity points that would go towards the curry/spa deficit!

Weight loss prediction: I’ll be happy with 1lb but obviously would like more!  {sig}

    Wow, can’t believe you ran AND did zumba! I am truly in awe.
    I know what you mean about doing the running after a day at work. I have done the getting up early thing, and I do find I have more energy than at the end of the day (I eat breakfast AFTER the exercise), and it certainly sets you up for the day – I tend to feel more energetic if I’ve done some exercise first thing. But getting out of bed early is definitely the killer.
