Don’t forget your Mum…

Can you believe it’s March already? This year is whizzing past. The next occasion I’ll be getting my sew on for is Mother’s Day. It’s just around the corner; Sunday 18th March here in the UK and I’m already thinking ahead. I’m going to make something for my Mum and Mum-in-law and we’ll be giving small but thoughtful gifts to my Nan and hubby’s Nan. I’ll also be getting something small for my lovely sister. She’s a Mum and I think she does an amazing job. We’ve got our nephew staying over at the weekend so will enlist his help in creating something and choosing a card just from him.

Where to start? There are so many cards to choose from, and I always find myself browsing around the various shelves whenever I go into a card shop, amazed at the sheer range of cards on offer.  Having often made my own, there are just some times where you think, why try and create something when a perfectly good card already exists?

Personally, I love Mother’s Day cards that are pink and girly and tell my Mum how much I love her and how much I appreciate her love and support. There are some fantastic cards on the web, but I always find myself returning time and time again to the same types. My personal favourites are the Forever Friends cards, just because I’m a sucker for a cute teddy bear with a heart warming sentiment, and the personalised cards that you can add a special photo too and add your own name to fit the subject.

I think my nephew will probably pick the card with the little green Monster on the front. Apparently he can growl louder than a Monster and therefore he is definitely more a Monster than an actual Monster. That’s logic of a 3 year old for you!

So now I’ve reminded you, you’ve got exactly 17 days or 2 weekends to get your Mum a card, don’t forget! {sig}
