Paying it forward for Lisa’s Stars

Have you ever come across a plea from a stranger and it’s touched you so much that you’ve wanted to do something to help? That’s what has happened to me recently. I was on one of my diet related support pages when someone posted a request to help a charity called Lisa’s Stars.

Lisa’s Stars is a charity that provides blankets, sleeping bags and wraps to babies born too soon in many hospitals around the UK. They take handmade items and pass them onto the families of little ones born prematurely who unfortunately are not strong enough to survive.

I knew immediately that I wanted to help so I’ve made four little blankets from my stash of Hello Kitty fabric and backed them with cosy lemon fleece. I don’t know anybody who has lost a little one so prematurely so can only imagine the pain and sadness that families go through but wanted to do something to show my support for a fantastic charity to let them know that people do care.

You can read all about the charity Lisa’s Stars here.

If you’d like to help support the fantastic cause, you can find out more here.

Sometimes we forget how fortunate we are and by taking a couple of hours and a couple of fat quarters of fabric, we can make a difference {sig}
