The night before the 4th weigh in…

and I’m not feeling too great about it! I have had a really good week food wise, i’ve been eating the right foods (weighing it out exactly) and tracking it all before and after I eat. I did have an issue over the pointing of Cheesy Mug Shots as in the WW book they say 2 pp per packet but in fact they are actually 8 pp per packet (according to the WW Online Forum). I very naively used 2 pp each but can save myself with the weekly allowance so haven’t gone over on points there. I’ve had plenty of water through the week and am drinking orange squash on a very regular basis. I’ve even upped the exercise (wii & dog walks every other day) but it still doesn’t seem to be good enough.

Stupidly, I had a sneeky peek on the bathroom scales which are approximately 2lbs out and according to them i’ve gained 1lb! WTF! How? This is ridiculous! I’m on 45 pp per day which both my calculator and ww leader gave me so i’m not over eating. I’m not due on for another 2 weeks so surely it can’t be that! I’m seriously worried that if I go to the meeting tomorrow and I haven’t lost or stayed the same there will be MAJOR tears…help? {sig}

    Keep Battling!!
    If you keep weighing out your portion sizes and tracking your daily/weekly points, it the pounds WILL come off eventually. You never know, you may be pleasantly surprised when you get there tomorrow. And if you stay the same or even have a small gain, just remember next week is another week. (and don’t hit the chocolate big stylie… but apparently a Curly Wurly is 3pps – who knew?) If the weight comes off a bit slower than you’d like it to, so what? Apparently it’s more likely to stay off that way. No point losing 3 stone in 6 months only to pile it back on again. Next week could be the week you suddenly lose 3lbs without apparently doing ANYTHING different. Now there’s the irony!
    Let us know how you get on, won’t you?

      Thanks Sarah! I really hope you’re right. I’ve walked quite a bit this week (no where near as much as I’d like though) so maybe its muscle lol! I’ve got to look at what I really want as my goal and I know its going to take a while to get there but I guess it’ll be worth it x

    Are you using pro-points or the old system?

      I’m using the new pro-points system now but not sure it’s working for me :(
      I did lose quite a bit (3.5 stone) on the old system back in 2008/2009 before I was diagnosed with my underactive thryoid so am wondering whether to go back to the old system…

    Sweetie breathe! Something that my mom just reminded me of is that when you change your diet your body chemistry changes and your hormone levels will change and thusly making your monthlies different. I’m a solid week early. I feel ya. I was down 0.7 and am having a hell of a time making my points every day. And I feel like I have done nothing but eat. Keep the faith sister! Xoxoxoxoxoxo love from across the pond!
