The Golden Years

Back in 2008 my lovely Nan and Grandad celebrated being married for 50 years! WOW! 50 years is such a long time. 2 years on from their Golden Anniversary they are still happily married (although they fight like cat and dog, can finish off each others sentences and frequently threaten to run off with younger models!!) When I met hubby back in 2003, I had the feeling we both were in it for the long haul and that he was ‘the one’. Two weeks after I met him he went away to Corfu with his uni mates for a 2 week holiday and we both missed each other so much I flew out to be with him. 7 years on and we’ve been married for 3 wonderful years. In a world where there seems to be more divorced couples than married ones, i’d like to dedicate this post to my grandparents who have shown that it’s not always easy, it’s not always pleasant but it is plain and simple L O V E.. Wonder what the next 47 years will be like for me and Mr Shilts?
