I can smell Autumn!

I know we’ve only just got August out the way but I do love this time of year! Waking up to darker mornings, seeing your breath when you breathe outside, watching the trees turn orange and brown. Love it! I especially love the approach to Christmas and I hate to say it but its only 102 sleeps until Christmas Day. You see for the last 8 years over Christmas I’ve always been studying with college or uni and i’ve always had to cut short the festivities to do coursework and stay on track for exams (which always had to be in the first week of January..how evil are exam boards!) BUT this year, I am so pleased that I have absolutely no studying to do whatsoever. I’ve got so many things planned for this year including going late night Christmas shopping at the Birmingham Bullring, going to the Christmas markets, hopefully attend the Ballet (we saw the Nutcracker a year or two ago and it was amazing!) making family and friends homemade gifts, lots of baking, making gorgeous christmas decorations for the house and the tree and enjoying spending time with the family. I can’t wait!

I’ve been making a few doorstops this weekend. I absolutely love doorstops, they are so useful especially if you have a dog who loves going outside but then wants to come in again 2 minutes later! I’ve made these gorgeous handmade fabric doorstops which are available to buy on ebay and I’ve already made a couple of sales so i’m really pleased.

Hoping to get more sewing done this week as I have a busy weekend ahead (we’re off to Silverstone for a family fun day out) so will post more later in the week. I’d love to hear what you think {sig}
