Weigh in Wednesday | Mid-May Update

WEIGHTLOSS UPDATEAfter a mammoth gain (you can read all about my wobble here) I was determined to get back on track. I gave myself a stern talking to and remembered why I was changing my eating habits, why I wanted to lose weight and how much was at stake if I threw in the towel.

In the last two weeks, I’ve managed to get myself back on track. In my first week (after my huge gain) I lost 4.5lb which I was pleased with and last night at weigh in, I managed to lose 2lb. My total weightloss now since August 2014 is 5 stone 1.5lb (or 71.5lb) and in the grand scheme of things, I am pleased with how well I’ve done.

We go away on holiday to Fuerteventura in less than three weeks and I’m a little bit gutted that I’m not in a smaller size. I’ve bought some new holiday clothes and they’re three sizes smaller than I wore on my last foreign holiday back in 2014. I cannot wait to get on the plane and fasten that seatbelt up around my waist. I’m really hoping I’ve done enough so I don’t have to ask for a seatbelt extension (it really is the most embarrassing thing to ask a glamorous air hostess with perfect hair and make up for an extension, weep!)

I’m taking the weightloss slow and steady and taking every day as it comes. We’ve meal planned this week and although I haven’t shared it on my blog (hello housework) we’ve stuck to plan and it’s really helped me. I’ve also had a few of my syns during the day and therefore not leaving them to eat until late in the evening. I’ve enjoyed a few synfree snacks and have been guzzling the water instead of raiding the fridge!

Unless you’ve had or got a weight problem, you won’t know how hard the battle is. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink (apart from the one or two social drinks with family and friends) so food is my only vice. I love food unfortunately for my waistline but I have to restrict myself and have a daily word with my conscience to stop eating all the wrong foods!

Onwards and upwards, lets hope I can have another great week on plan and get another fab loss next week!

*hugs* you’re so right when you say that if you don’t struggle with your weight you don’t understand how hard it is. Food is definitely my vice too, I comfort eat and it’s so hard to break that.
You are doing SO well, I know it’s tough to keep it up. Personally I feel like it’s unfair that I will have to watch what I eat for ever, but better that than serious physical illnesses and such that I’ll be in line for if I remain overweight or put more weight on.
Enjoy your holiday though and huge well done on how far you’ve come so far.
