Meal Planning Monday 14th September 2015

meal planning monday

Last week’s meal planning was a huge success. You may recall that I gave hubby the option to choose our evening meals and he did a stellar job. We had all the meals as we planned and even had lots of left overs for work lunches the following day. The fridge was bare come the weekend and I really love that we managed to use up all the fresh ingredients as hoped and nothing went to waste.

Unfortunately, my hubby wasn’t well over the weekend so I’m back to meal planning this week and have scoured the recipe books for meals that I think the whole family will enjoy. We still struggle getting Little Mr to eat the same foods as us. He would be in his element if we ate plain meat, vegetables and potatoes every evening but I would absolutely hate that, I’m not a huge fan of Sunday dinners!

Here’s what’s on the menu in own house this week;

Butternut Squash and Bacon Risotto
Sausage and Mash
Rich Beef Stew with a Mustard Mash
Chicken and Leek Pie
Mince Beef Hash
Pizza

This week we are eating out at a family friendly restaurant for a review article so that should be nice. I’ll be able to order a SW friendly meal and both hubby and Little Mr can choose whatever they fancy, and there’ll be no tidying up or washing up afterwards, hurrah!

The boys are sharing a pizza on Friday evening as I’m off down to London for the MAD Blog Awards. I am super excited and cannot wait to see my lovely friend Lucy who I have invited as my plus one. I don’t think I have a chance in hell of winning but I am super proud that I was nominated and have been invited to the awards to party with the rest of the blogging elite. I will of course share lots of photographs of the event on my social media channels so if you want to see how it goes, make sure you’re following my Facebook and Instagram feeds.

Have a super week whatever you’re eating this week and I will of course link up with Mrs M’s Meal Planning Monday as usual. Head on over for more foodie inspiration and meal ideas.

    Your meal plans always sound so good! I have passed the food shopping across to Hubby and the next step may be to get him to do the meal plan too! Have a great time in London with Lucy! x
