Readers who have been following me for the long haul will know that my blog was originally set up way back in 2008 to document my journey losing weight with Weight Watchers. I had followed their Points plan and then their ProPoints plan to the point where I knew what the values were of all my favourite foods and I began to form bad habits; cramming as much rubbish into the plan as possible along with processed branded chiller meals and the token salad or three.
I knew I needed to change. I needed to change my way of thinking and I was ready for a brand new approach. I chose Slimming World as a few of my friends followed its principals and had lost weight week in week out without completely restricting themselves.
I went to my first weigh in on Tuesday evening. I was a bit nervous as I didn’t know what to expect but I stood on the scales and had lost 7.5lb. Hurrah! I lost over half a stone. I was obviously delighted and really pleased that the plan is working for me.
So what have I eaten?
I’ve been using my Instagram account as a bit of a food diary so if you fancy seeing what delicious meals I’m tucking into each day then come over and take a look. I do love the variety of foods I’m ‘allowed’ to eat even if I do feel ‘naughty’ for eating potatoes!
I’ve really found the community very supportive and I’m really grateful for all the advice, support and tips. I’ve got a very long way to go, I don’t expect to see those kind of losses on the scales each week but I do hope to see some movement on the scales.
30 months to go… 7.5lb down. Lets do this!

Go Emma! It’s a great plan, isn’t it? You feel like you’re totally cheating when you’re so used to weight watchers and points. Keep up the good work xx
