Earlier this week I was invited to attend the launch of an exciting and revolutionary product from Silver Cross, the Reflex pushchair and pram system. Unfortunately I couldn’t make the event but followed it’s progress and I’m really excited to be able to share the latest news from the launch.
Due out in mid-March, the Reflex is a stunning pushchair. Available in a variety of brilliantly bright colours (including raspberry, lime and sky blue) the Reflex has the ability to convert from a pushchair to a pram system and is also compatible with the Silver Cross Simplicity car seat making it an ideal travel system from birth up to toddlers weighing in at 25kg.
So what’s different about the Reflex?
- 3 mode night safety light (solid, flash and rotate)
– Simple one piece umbrella fold in both pram and pushchair mode
– Ergonomic back support for baby with lie flat position
– Wide and spacious seat dimensions
– Extra padded harness
– Adjustable footrest and calf support
– Silent multi-position recline
– Height adjustable handle with leatherette grip
The Silver Cross Reflex comes with an integral hood providing up to UPF 50+ sun protection and the large zipped extension allows air to circulate around baby during the warmer months. A large raincover and luxuriously padded apron will keep baby dry and warm in the winter months providing all year round comfort and protection from the elements.
The newborn accessory pack will retail at just £75, which includes the babynest, lightweight apron and rearward-facing hood and in my humble opinion is a brilliant price.
The Silver Cross Reflex costs £250 and will be available from John Lewis and independent nursery outlets.
From what I have seen and read, I really like the Reflex. As it’s suitable from birth, this pushchair come travel system would last a fair number of years and you would certainly get plenty of use out of it. I know a lot of Mums who trade in their bulky travel systems for a smaller, lightweight umbrella type stroller in favour of it’s ability to be stored away easily and quick set up.
I love the addition of the 3 mode safety light. When the evenings draw darker in the Autumn months, some parents including me are often put off taking their little ones out in the dark. This safety light enables the pushchair to be seen without compromising style. The colours are attractive and classically stylish making it the must have pushchair of 2014.
Disclaimer: I haven’t been asked to write this post nor have I been compensated for doing so. I genuinely really like the Reflex and think it is going to be a big hit this Spring. Images courtesy of Silver Cross.
