Each year hubby, woofer and I join my family on their annual holiday in Lincolnshire. We drive up for the weekend of family fun, a day out at the beach, my Dad’s barbeque and visiting good friends. This year we’ve got a new addition to take with us and I really can’t wait.
We’ll be sleeping in our tent, whilst my Parents, my Grandparents and my Sister and her family all sleep in their caravans. I’ve been worried about the nights being cold but now the weather’s warming up perhaps I don’t really need to worry too much. I love camping. I love sitting out in the open air sitting around the fire pit in my hoody wrapped in a blanket toasting marshmallows and having a good giggle with my family.
My Nan usually brings her homemade brew which is slightly intoxicating and unfortunately due to being pregnant I couldn’t drink it last year. Little did she know it was because I was pregnant, I had to fob her off saying I wasn’t feeling well. Bless her, she might have been slightly offended but at least she didn’t twig.
Baby sleeping bag and blankets
- Travel cot
- Plenty of clean clothes
- Ready made formula and throw away disposable bottles (less to bring home)
- Small bucket and spade for the beach
- Cold water steriliser tablets
- Sun lotion (wishful thinking maybe but best to be safe than sorry!)
I’m planning on using my Parents caravan sink as a bath for Little Mr and I’m going to take the mini bottles of freebie bath wash I was given to save on space.
If you’ve got any other top tips on camping with a little one, I’d love to hear from you.
