One of my good friends is getting married in a few months and to mark the end of her single chapter of life some of her friends have decided to put together a ‘Marriage Survival Kit’. It’s a bit of fun to help give them both a bit of a giggle and welcome them into the world of marriage with some novel ideas of how to ‘put up’ with each other when things might get a little unsavoury!
I’ve been married to my wonderful hubby for five years this August and without sounding too sloppy, it’s been a fantastic five years. So what has been the secret to our happiness? I’m thinking ear plugs, febreze air freshener and the odd can of Guinness! But that’s just me..
What about you? What items do you think should be included and why? I’d love to hear from you..

Definitely ear plugs, a spare bed, a second tv, a loo brush, a “man tin” for him to keep his crap in…….!
My mum’s present to me on my hen party was v funny. She gave me 3 presents with clues I had to open first:
1. For when you aren’t in the mood (headache tablets)
2. If number 1 doesn’t work (really big, unattractive granny pants)
3. If 1 and 2 don’t work, what the heck, just enjoy it! (black lacy knickers)
Was a bit mortifying but quite funny!
I love that!
Haha I love this, the lush massage bars are great! Deffo earplugs, air freshner for the bathroom, maybe a photo album and some disposable cameras for the honeymoon?
I love lush stuff but havent come across their massage bars yet. Will have a look in town tomorrow x
Egg timer- in the middle of a dissagrement a three minute cool off is always a good idea.
Fab idea Rebecca! We’re quite lucky ‘cos we don’t argue much, just give each other the silent treatment!
