#Fuff Week 7

Weight Wars

Blimey! We’re into week 7 already, before we know it, it’ll be Christmas!

What have you done this week towards your goals?
This week I was a bit naughty following weigh in. I was a bit downhearted with my pathetic 1/2lb loss so pigged out with a chip shop tea and although it was naughty, I really enjoyed it. I should really stop feeling guilty about eating post weigh in. Unfortunately, I managed to consume all my daily points and weekly points on Wednesday (McDs for breaky, 2 ring donuts & pizza hut deep pan pizza for dinner) so have spent the rest of the week trying to make up for it being extra good with exercise and sticking well within my daily points.

What have you done to make you feel fabulous?



I got my hair cut. I’ve had lots of lovely comments about it so that’s VERY positive.

How do you pull yourself out of a slump or prevent yourself falling in to one?
When I’m having a crap day instead of turning to food, I try to do something instead, perhaps take the dog for the walk or get my bum wiggling on the wii. I put into perspective everything that I have achieved and how far I want to go and by doing that I realise that I am in such a better place now than I think I have ever been and that’s definitely not worth slumping into a grump for!

Are you naturally positive or do you have to work at it? How do you keep yourself positive?
I try to be a positive person, life is far too short to dwell on mistakes or regrets. Don’t get me wrong I do get down sometimes but as I said before I try and put in perspective all the good stuff going on in my life. They [whoever they are!] say that there’s always someone else worse off than you and I did think they’re right! I am incredibly lucky to have a fantastic hubby, a lovely home, a very loyal (if noisy) woofer, a fab family and some brilliant friends. See, nothing to whinge about!

I’m on Holiday right now, if you could go away anywhere tomorrow (and work wouldn’t get weird) where would you go?
Ohhh, I’d jump on a jet plane with hubby (First Class obviously, if i’m not paying) and i’d go to Australia. I would absolutely love to go there one day. It’s thousands of miles away, absolutely huge and has masses to see and do. I’d love to go to America one day too and see the Grand Canyon, the desert, the mountains, the cities, everything!

How true is that?

Reasons to be cheerful…week 43

Reasons to be Cheerful at Mummy from the Heart

After a totally grumpy weekend I thought it was about time to join in with #R2BC.

Here are my 5 reasons to be cheerful this week..

1) It’s half term and hubby is off. I love it when he’s off work as he gets to chill out a bit and he gets to stay at home with Mikey who loves our company.

2) I’m wearing a brand new pair of jeans that are 4 sizes smaller than I wore back in January 2011

3) I had my hair cut shorter and coloured…I love it! I took advantage of a deal at the hairdressers so saved over £30 on the usual price!

4) I have a wonderful network of family and friends who have been very supportive of my weightloss and I am so appreciative of all of their support & motivation

5) I have lots of plans coming up over the next few weeks with various family and friends so looking forward to spending time with them all

The Gallery: Faces

This week over on The Gallery, the theme of the week is Faces.

So here’s my entry….

My Mikeymoo is being adorable this week. I love this photo because he managed to sneak upstairs and snuggle himself onto our bed and when we found him he had this cheeky grin on his face thats says “oh Mom… but i’m sooo comfy!” Even the woofer loves school holidays!

#Fuff Week 6

Weight Wars

Apologies for the delay in posting my Fuff update. Was having a bit of a downer at the weekend and didn’t think you’d want to read doom and gloom so thought it was best to leave it until I was a bit more positive. Well on the back of my 1lb loss this week here we go!

What have you done to achieve your goals this week?
This week I’ve stuck to the WW plan, I’ve tracked everything, I’ve done plenty of exercise and I’ve walked woofer loads.

What have you done to make yourself feel fabulous?
Small things but I’ve had my eyebrows threaded and it makes me feel so much better once my brows are all in shape. Totally unrelated to anything weight related but it all helps.

Do you listen to music when you work out? What gets you fired up?
Yes, I have to listen to music when working out as it gets me in the groove. I need to have a beat to work too and usually the faster the beat the more i’m willing to shift my bum. I’ve got various workout albums on my iPod so I usually stick one of those on and get moving.

What’s your guilty pleasure music? How does it make you feel?
Ohhh I love a bit of cheesy pop. The CD in my car at the moment is Steps! I have the original albums which I dug out recently whilst watching the reunion on TV and I do love a bit of sing your heart out cheesy pop. It just makes me dance around without a care in the world and that makes me feel both silly but good too!

If today were a song what song would it be?
Erm, I think today would probably be a Christmas song. Not sure which one but we did most of our Christmas shopping today so probably one that makes you think of mulled wine, gingerbread men and lovely, wrapped presents sitting around the tree. Only two months today and those presents will all be open and we’ll all be stuffed from our Christmas dinner and yummy puds! Eeeek!

Week 42: Weigh in Update..

Another week on the wagon and weigh in showed I’d lost 1lb. I’m pleased with a loss but so frustrated that it was only 1lb. I need 0.5lb to get my 4 stone total loss, it’s so close I can see it but it’s so far away. Next week it WILL be mine!

I’ve tried really hard this week to get the exercise in. I’ve been to the gym, I did a 20 minute workout with Jillian Michaels (DVD), 2 x 4 mile walks over Sandwell Valley, a Zumba class and at least 5 miles walking round Birmingham City Centre today (Christmas shopping).

My food intake has been saintly, I’ve tracked EVERYTHING, resisted most of the naughty stuff (I did have some Jelly Beans but I pointed them and they were within my allowance) and I’ve been really good when eating out. We went to a Carvery Pub yesterday and whilst everyone else loaded their plates with yummy carvery, I had a lemon and pepper chicken salad.

Non-Scale-Victories: Some of my clothes are getting seriously too big, I wore my blue linen trousers today to shop in and whilst they fit round the waist, the bum and legs are massive on me. My Sister said they looked like pyjamas which was lovely! I also tried on a dress at the weekend for a Christmas party and whilst I liked it, I’m still not sure about getting my legs out for the world to see.

Anyway, looking ahead to next week I’m going to try and get my exercise quota in again, change my meals around a bit (no toast for breaky) and drink more water. Have a good week everyone
