Brilliant news from weigh in this week as I lost 1lb bringing my total loss to 50lb exactly! I was a tad concerned I might have blown it after my piggy style banquet last Friday of Pizza Express and Krispy Kreme donuts but looks like the all the exercise I did over the last few days has helped my cause.
So that’s 50lb off in 30 weeks. Not so bad eh? I am really pleased that I’ve managed to get there and I think it’s because I am so focused on losing weight now if I slip up I actually feel guilty about it. I have 2lb to lose before I fall into the next stone bracket so would like to achieve that as soon as possible and have 6lb to lose to reach my 4 stone total loss target. Both of which I would love to achieve by the end of August but realistically I’ve got my holiday coming up and as long as I don’t go mad, I think I’ll achieve the 2lb loss but 6lb is a bit ambitious!
I’m pleased that by the weekend I should be able to start cooking again. The fitters finished the majority of the kitchen off yesterday with just the plumbing to finish today. Hopefully this evening we will have running hot water, be able to use the dishwasher and the washing machine! Hoorah!
I’m not going to aquafit tonight as I’m hoping to be able to put the contents of the kitchen away and get a head start on the cleaning. Cleaning surely should count as exercise. I’ll be up and down the stairs so many times the pedometer will hopefully be in double activity points. Will hopefully uploads some pics of the new kitchen by the weekend! Exciting

Before & After: MrsShilts’ Kitchen
Please excuse me while I brag about my new kitchen, I am in love. It’s so smart, everything fits so well, the appliances are ace, the worktops are massive, the slow closing drawers are very clever and the space saving cupboards are brilliant.
Here’s a photo of how it looked before and how it was when we went to bed last night..

Isn’t it ace?
I want to thank my hubby for all his hard work on this kitchen. He has grafted so incredibly hard ripping it out, knocking tiles off the walls, getting the walls back to the brickwork, cleaning up and moving 25 bags of rubble to 2 skips and finally yesterday painting the kitchen so it looks all nice and clean. I think he’ll be glad of the week away to Cyprus to totally chill out and prepare him for the new term at school. Who says Teachers get it easy in the school holidays? My hubby certainly doesn’t!
This weekend I’m on a cleaning mission. The oven needs a massive spruce up and I’m going to be armed with the cif (other brands are available!), window cleaning spray and vacuum to get the house looking fab again. House proud me, oh yes!
