Post holiday weigh in…

Well i’m back from Cyprus which was absolutely A M A Z I N G. The weather was fantastic, the hotel was brilliant and I had the best time. I’m going to write up another post about my holiday later in the week but need to write up this post to make a fresh start with WW. I gained whilst on holiday. I gained a massive amount. I gained 9.5lb! I gained more weight than the average size newborn baby! I am disgusted with myself to be quite honest as I didn’t stop myself shoveling in cake, ice cream, hot dogs, peanut m&m’s, sausage and bacon for breakfast, cocktail after cocktail after cocktail! I’m not proud of it and actually i’m quite ashamed of it. I’ve ruined the last couple of months good work and now i’m 10lb away from where I was 2 weeks ago. Gutted.

My weigh in day has now changed to a Tuesday so I will be starting a fresh tomorrow. Back exercising on the wii, taking Mikey out for long brisk walks, Aquafit and Zumba. I’m secretly hoping I can shift quite a bit of the weight this week and get back nearer to where I was 2 weeks ago.  I’ve got 7 weeks (7 weigh in’s) to lose as much weight as possible before my hospital appointment so I’m going to have to step it up a gear and be as good as possible but I’m seriously worried now that i’m not going to get where the Dr wanted me to be by October. Mega disappointment looming!

The damage is done! All I can do is accept it and move on and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Tomorrow sees the start of a fresh week, a new set of points and a new set of weeklies. I need to get this weight off and quick! Help?

Pre holiday weigh in & 50lb certificate!

Gutted! Weigh in tonight showed I’ve gained 0.5lb since last week! Could be the pizza and chips I ate last week but could just be my body slowing down a bit. So now my overall total loss is now 49.5lb.  I’ve been really good since Saturday staying on track and making the right choices but I’ve due my monthlies this weekend (not good when off on hols) so it’s my hormones playing up a bit! Not to dwell on it, I got my 50lb certificate this evening from Deb at the WW meeting and she also gave me a lovely card which was lovely but now I’m looking to get the next stone.

 

Looking forward to the rest of the week I’m going to be good (tracking, exercising & sticking within my points) until Sunday and then relax into holiday mode. My next weigh in will be on Tuesday 30th August (because I’m moving to a different group to stay with my WW leader) so thats 13 days to make a difference. Let’s just hope it’s in the right direction.

Meal Planning Monday 15.08.2011

A while back I found a fab blog by Seren in which every Monday she joins in a linky called Meal Planning Monday which is hosted by Mrs M. Hubby and I do most of our planning on a Sunday before the weekly food shop but I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon and join in letting you in on our evening meal ideas for the week ahead;

Monday: Peri Peri Chicken with cous cous and salad (both eating, taken from Simply Satisfying WW cookbook)
Tuesday: Beef Lasagne with salad (only me eating as hubby will eat out at footy)
Wednesday: Fish Fingers, Oven Chips & Beans (only hubby and nephew eating as i’m eating out with my WW group after weigh in)
Thursday: Hubby to fend for himself as I’ll be eating at my Sisters before Aquafit
Friday: Sweet Chilli Turkey Meatballs with Sweetcorn Salsa (both eating – taken from Simply Enjoy WW cookbook)
Saturday:  Low Fat Sausages, Mash & Veg (both eating)

I’ll then be planning on enjoying Cypriot food and drink as we fly to Cyprus on Sunday..Woohoo!

So easy!

It is so easy to go over my daily ProPoints. Take Thursday night for example, I was busy moving all the kitchen stuff back into the kitchen and I got really hungry and we only had frozen crap in so I asked hubby to order a pizza. I had a small farmhouse pizza which was lovely but probably about 30 propoints! Think I must have used about 15 of my weeklies and then in between arranging cups, glasses and cutlery I managed to scoff not one, not two but three crunchies! Dunno what on earth possessed me. Then last night after being saintly at work I decided to stay on track with a ready meal curry whilst hubby had a take away curry with chips which I decided to munch through! So all my good work eating a crappy ready meal was ruined by eating a massive handful or two of chips! Grrrrr so annoying, I’ve pulled it back today with sticking to my points but I just hope that my two days of going over my points won’t affect this weeks forthcoming weigh in too much! Not had the chance to do much exercise this week yet but all the tidying up and cleaning I’ve done hopefully has gone in my favour.

Tonight I was able to cook the first meal in my new kitchen and I loved it! I made Italian spicy chicken with rice and veg. I’ve also planned out the next weeks meals so hubby can go shopping tomorrow and we can eat home cooked meals all week. I have really missed cooking. I hope to bake some low fat cakes this week too! Gonna have a browse on the web shortly and see what takes my eye. Hope you’re all having a fab weekend
