It’s Christmas!!!

I have been totally rubbish at this diet malarky these past few months, uni work has completely stressed me out, I have eventually started sleeping again (without drugs as my dear mom was getting quite worried!) and I eaten like a pig! Uni work is 7000 words strong so not much left to do after Christmas and then I am getting back on the wagon and gonna lose at least 4 stone in 2010. I want to be healthy, I want to get into smaller clothes, and I want to look in the mirror and be pleased with what I see! oh, and I do want to start a family at some point in the next 2 years so best get my running shoes out after Chrimbo cos MrsShilts is hitting the gym and is gonna get fit! woohoo!!

Can’t sleep

Its been a while since I last posted due to the enormous amounts of stress I am currently under with trying to get my uni work done before christmas! I'm suffering from a severe case of insomnia which is driving me mad as I am so so tired but lying awake at stupid o'clock worrying that I have to get up in less than 6 hours for work. Am writing this from the spare bedroom as cannot lie in my own bed listening to hubby snore his head off! Even tried to go to bed early tonight (9.45) but am still awake as I type this (00.35)…anyone got any ideas?
Diet is appalling, haven't been to weigh in for at least a month but then again haven't had time to go, am mega determined to have a good crimbo and then religiously diet in new year as need/want to lose at least 4 stone in 2010…
Perhaps I should go for a walk? Then again a 20 something women should not be roaming the streets at this hour or driving for that matter!!! Help!!

Losing it!

My head has gone to mush! Thats what stress is doing to me..I cant think properly, I don’t eat sensibly, I’m tired and moody. My uni work is seriously stressing me out, I’ve got 6 weeks left to write up a pretty decent 10k word management report and I’m panicking. I’ve never been like this before so I’m a bit out of my comfort zone and I’m not enjoying it!
Food wise…well I haven’t had time to go to weigh in for the past 2 weeks but have had a look on my own scales and its looking like 6lb on! I’m comfort eating ‘cos I feel so stressed and eating crap ‘cos between hubby and I we’ve both had late nights at work, no proper food in the house and no mojo to cook a decent meal!

Hubby has Ofsted (Her Majesty’s Inspectors grade the teaching and learning within the school and rate the teachers on a 1 -4 scale!) this week at school, meaning between now and the day the inspectors make a decision on the state of hubbys school it’s gonna be unpleasant in our house. Hubby is an excellent teacher, he’s an excellent Head of Department and i’m very proud of him so I know he’ll be ok but I can’t really do anything to help him, except look after the house and make sure he looks the part!

Can feel the weight creeping back on so really must try harder to get more organised and in control! I can do this, I know I can…..

Happy Birthday to me!

What a week and its only Tuesday! I'm 27 today, been at work which was lovely to be honest, my work colleagues all bought me cards and put towards a collection for me and I've got a Boots voucher to spend so that's fab! Hubby bought me Ugly Betty Season 2, cupcake goodies and some boufle bear goodies, had lots of money and both of the Take That take one and two books which showcase unseen photos from their years of fame. I've already spent some of my cash on a pair of ghds which I have been after for years!

WW wise its been an odd week, haven't tracked at all and although I know I haven't gone over pts wise I have made a few poor choices! Will get back on track tmw…may not be weighing in tmw got a busy day working from home as having a few deliveries (new carpet and dining chairs) and my sis is not well at the month with a stomach bug so would rather not catch that to be honest so will stay clear of her lurgy! Anyways hope everyone else has had a good week will catch up on your blogs tmw xx

Strange week….

This weeks weigh in showed I’d put on 4.5lb! Total shock, I’ve been good so cannot explain why I put on so much, however am awaiting the arrival of aunt flo this weekend so perhaps that’s her way of letting me know she’s on her way! Quite annoyed though…
Went Christmas shopping on Thursday, managed to purchase quite a number of items for family and had a good look for a few things I wouldn’t mind for my birthday, then went for a pub lunch and really fancied a Ploughmans lunch so indulged on that! Does shopping count as exercise? Really hope so considering we spent at least 5 hours trapesing round the shops!
Yesterday we went to our cousins wedding and I actually wore a dress! Quite enjoyed the day, bought back many memories of our own wedding day and wished I’d lost weight back then…but never mind you live and learn! Have totally got back on track today, as would really love to lose what I put on last week and get to my 4th stone sometime in November. Must get my ass back to the gym and really work at it!

Right off to get on with housework and begin my uni work, 8 weeks until Christmas……help!
